What OS is this??? – Gathering basic system info – Part 3

And here we go again for the last series.
I will just write some uname outputs from the following Operating Systems:

  • HP-UX,
  • Solaris,
  • Mac OS X,
  • RHLE,
  • NonStop and
  • AIX.


HP-UX 11:

# uname -a
HP-UX hostn B.11.31 U ia64 3213470152 unlimited-user license


Solaris 8 SPARC, on a SunFire V240:

# uname -a
SunOS hostname 5.8 Generic_117350-05 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240

Solaris 9 SPARC, on a SunFire V210:

# uname -a
SunOS hostn 5.9 Generic_122300-61 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V210

Solaris 9 SPARC, on a SunFire V240:

# uname -a

Solaris 10 x86, on VMWare VM:

> uname -a

Mac OS X:

# uname -a

RHEL 6.4:

# uname -a

HP Integrity Server, NonStop H06:

HP Integrity BladeSystem, NonStop J06:

IBM AIX 5.3:

# uname -a
